The show is a blast from the first note to the last and grows song after song, supported by the audience impressive presence. During this concert, Deep Purple left their “safe zone”. That is why this concert is the one that represents a feeling of improvisation and electricity similar to the band's classic years - more than many other live releases by the band. The show has been filmed by 9 HD cameras and it is also available in 3D on the Blu-ray version (the first time for Deep Purple)

Not all that many blues musicians (or any other kind, for that matter) live to 70, so British bandleader John Mayall had good reason to celebrate when he reached that milestone in 2003--and celebrate he did, with the admirable, 137-minute John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers: 70th Birthday Concert to show for it. Mayall, a capable if not exactly stellar singer and multi-instrumentalist, is best known for the many fine players who passed through his band over the years, and Eric Clapton, the most renowned of the lot, is on hand here, as is former Mayall/Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor. Clapton sings several tunes in addition to playing his trademark stinging solos on "Hideaway" and "All Your Love" (two of the tunes most responsible for the "Clapton is God" graffiti seen around London in the '60s), while Taylor is mostly impressive as well.

Le 1er juillet dernier, Carlos Santana et son groupe avaient ouvert le Festival de Jazz de Montreux, où ils aiment se produire régulièrement, par un concert mémorable de plus de trois heures. Ils sont quasiment tous présents (Samba Pa Ti et Europa notamment) dans ce concert‑fleuve donné l'an dernier à Montreux et dans lequel le guitariste et ses musiciens revisitent également quelques standards du jazz et du rock, dont un étonnant Back in Black d'AC/DC rappé façon latino et un superbe duo avec Derek Trucks et Susan Tedeschi. The Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Tour was a tour that was undertaken to pay tribute to the original band members who died in a plane crash in 1977. The tour began in the fall of 1987, in honor of the 10-year anniversary of the plane crash. A number of surviving members reunited for the tour. Original members Gary Rossington, Billy Powell and Leon Wilkeson were joined by Ed King (original member who had left the band in 1975), Artimus Pyle (drummer at the time of the plane crash), Randall Hall and Johnny Van Zant.
